CREATIVE MOVEMENT FOR KIDS, ages 4-7 (Erica Sigal) In Creative Movement For Kids, boys and girls use their bodies, senses and creativity to explore the joyful world of movement. Exhilarating elements of dance will help children develop physical and cognitive skills such as balance, coordination, cooperation, attention span, and self-esteem. Children will create a vivid spatial world with props like streamers, stretchy fabric and feathers, pictures, poems, stories, music, and rhythm instruments. Suggested attire: comfortable clothing, socks or bare-feet
YOGA FOR CHILDREN, ages 3.9-6, 7-11 (Tara Rachel Carey) Children blossom from the inside out. At times, their pace of movement is much faster than their rate of development. Yoga gives them an opportunity to slow down, reconnect to their natural rhythm, and balance their energy. Each class presents a consistent series of postures to explore flexibility, encourage concentration and stimulate inner curiosity
YOUTH YOGA, ages 12-15 (Tara Rachel Carey) As the early teen years unfurl, it can be a challenge to balance a deepening sense of autonomy with the growing responsibility and connection that go with maturity Ð andÊ all while body and mind are changing almost daily!Ê What a wonderful thing to find a place for relaxing, for stories and fun with friends, and discovering tools for inner peace. Youth Yoga explores yogic teachings through flowing series of movements, breathing practices, relaxation and meditation.
